WOW is first and foremost a fundraising organization for women and children in Haywood County

WOW is also a place where women have come and found new friendships. Understanding that you will receive whatever you put into the effort, as would be the case with any new or long-standing relationship. 

We are not accepting membership applications at this time, we will open up applications again in the spring of 2026.

Join us for a meeting!

We meet at Folkmoot (112 Virginia Avenue, Room A12 Waynesville, NC, 28786) the first and third Thursdays of each month. We would love to have you attend a meeting to decide if you’d like to join. Because we sometimes only have one meeting a month (holidays, summer), we recommend contacting us via email at womenofwaynesville@gmail.com to confirm a meeting is being held before coming.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Annual dues are $50.00 and are paid in full by July 1st of each year.

MAINTAINING MEMBERSHIP

WOW members are required to spend at least 40 hours per year on WOW related activities. This can include meetings, fundraisers, committee work (such as for our scholarship), PR/Goodwill events such as the Christmas Parade, WOWer Power supporting other non-profits with similar missions; and all time spent planning for fundraising events. Time spent on these activities is captured in hourly increments, which allows us to capture the work we are doing in support of our community.
