WOW is first and foremost a fundraising organization for women and children in Haywood County

WOW is also a place where women have come and found new friendships. Understanding that you will receive whatever you put into the effort, as would be the case with any new or long-standing relationship.

Our Fall membership enrollment period is now open. and our Open House will be at Root & Rise (60 S. Main Street , Waynesville, NC 28786) on Thursday, September 3rd at 6PM. If you are interested in attending please contact us by clicking here to let us know that you would like to be invited.

In the Spring we hold three OPEN meetings; the dates will be posted here. If you are interested in attending an Open meeting in the spring please contact us by clicking here and we will follow up with details as they become available.

Member Meetings are held at Folkmoot (112 Virginia Avenue, Room A12 Waynesville, NC 28786)

For new members there is a one time $25.00 application fee.

Annual dues are $50.00 and are paid in full by July 1st of each year.

MAINTAINING MEMBERSHIP

WOW members are required to spend at least 40 hours per year on WOW related activities. This can include meetings, fundraisers, committee work (such as for our scholarship), PR/Goodwill events such as the Christmas Parade, WOWer Power supporting other non-profits with similar missions; and all time spent planning for fundraising events. Time spent on these activities is captured in hourly increments, which allows us to capture the work we are doing in support of our community.
